GADGET X: Acer Liquid M220

Acer did a good job entering the mobile market with the launch of their smartphones. With competitive features and an affordable pricing, it was the brand that people would like to take a look. Now after a year, they now introduce a new model called the Acer Liquid M220, which is the first windows mobile phone by Acer.

It runs on  Windows 8.1 OS (upgradeable to Windows 10), and runs with Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 chipset complemented by a dual-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 processor, 4GB internal memory and 512MB RAM. These are quite big compared to  phones of the same price range.

The appearance is also good with a textured back cover that prevents slips and looks great event without a cover. I just hope they have a flip cover version of this. It comes in two colors black and white, which I would always prefer black.

It has a vivid 4-inch display and 233 pictures per inch (PPI) screen and has two cameras: 5 Megapixel rear camera and 2 Megapixel front camera. The two cameras are can also be voice operated with the proper apps and setting.

Best of all, coming in at a modest and affordable price range of P2,490, the Acer Liquid M220 is definitely a “steal” yet worthy of every hard-earned peso that makes it a truly value-for-money smart phone for every Filipino.

CONS
  • Limited Apps
