Samsung introduces a new generation of tech trailblazers with its second batch of Galaxy Student Campus Student Ambassadors

Global technology leader Samsung continues its commitment to education and youth development as it proudly announced the second batch of Galaxy Campus Student Ambassadors, a program that aims to empower student creators, tech innovators, and sustainability advocates.

Marking a significant expansion from its inaugural success, Samsung welcomed double the number of students as 100 new Galaxy Student Ambassadors from universities nationwide joined the kick-off party at Conrad Manila and Grand Hyatt Manila on July 6 and 7.

Selected from thousands of candidates between May 15 and June 15, these ambassadors will now embark on a year-long journey of intensive training, workshops, and immersive events curated by Samsung.

What Galaxy Campus Student Ambassadors can expect

The Galaxy Campus Student Ambassador Program is part of Samsung’s prestigious global initiative, offering a groundbreaking opportunity for student creators to immerse themselves in the world of technology and content creation.

The now year-long program is designed to be a vibrant platform for the best and the brightest to engage with Samsung’s cutting-edge innovations, top content creators and Samsung tech industry experts. Exposure to experts, industry leaders, and distinguished guests extending across various disciplines like content creation, marketing, and creative thinking will equip them with invaluable insights and skills essential for their professional growth.

They will also join special workshops, mentorship programs, exclusive events, and get early access to the latest Galaxy devices.

Beyond individual development, the program fosters a collaborative environment among ambassadors, promoting creativity and productivity within a community of like-minded peers. This camaraderie not only enhances personal growth, but also cultivates a spirit of innovation that extends beyond individual contributions.

At the kick-off party, Samsung Philippines Electronics Corporation (SEPCO) President Min Su Chu said, “Building on the success of the first batch, we are excited to continue nurturing the spirit of innovation among the Filipino youth. We are eager to keep watering the seed of creativity and technological advancement for this next generation of tech trailblazers and beyond as they build a better world for our future.”

Learning from the experts

At the kick-off party, TV host and model Bianca Gonzales-Intal delivered a heartwarming keynote speech followed by a panel discussion with industry trailblazers which gave them a taste of the kind of exposure they could expect from industry professionals under the program. Filipino-American TV personality, model, and vlogger, Wil Dasovich; advocate and Forbes’ 30 under 30 lister, Shawntel Nicole Nieto, and young entrepreneur and content creator, Cleo Loque shared their insights on the tech and creative industry and their own journeys as content creators.

Beyond the inspiring exchange with these personalities, the student ambassadors also bonded through lively get-to-know-you games, exciting activities, and a special group project which they worked on and presented during the second day of their inauguration.

Samsung's dedication to nurturing talent through initiatives like Galaxy Campus underscores its ongoing commitment to innovation and excellence. As the program unfolds, watch out for innovative content and ideas from the second batch of Galaxy Campus ambassadors.
