OPPO Showcases Breakthrough Generative AI at Google I/O Connect China 2024

Following the Google Cloud Next '24, global leading smart device brand OPPO made an appearance at the Google I/O Connect China today. Kai Tang, President of OPPO’s Software Engineering, shared insights on how generative AI technology is driving innovation in the smartphone industry and presented OPPO’s AI phone strategy, showcasing various high-productivity AI features integrated with Google Gemini models.

vivo officially expanded its R&D network in Xi’an China in February 2021 to further invest in the image system. The Xi’an R&D center will host project debugging and development as well as algorithm pre-research as they apply to the image system. OPPO breaks ground on new Chang’an R&D Center to accelerate global innovation strategy

OPPO announced at a ground-breaking ceremony that it will establish a new research and development center in China’s Chang’an Town, Dongguan, Guangdong Province, as it accelerates its push to boost Research and Development capabilities. The new facilities, along with the company’s existing R&D centers, will form a robust research engine that powers OPPO’s continued innovation for the emerging era of intelligent connectivity. 

OPPO’s new Chang’an R&D center, as one of Dongguan’s major initiatives to drive the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, is expected to house 5,000 R&D personnel upon completion.

OPPO Vice President, Eric Zhu shared that "We are very pleased to officially break ground on OPPO’s new Chang’an R&D center. It will play a strategic role in OPPO’s R&D endeavors, further enhancing the core technological capabilities of the company and accelerating the implementation of our R&D strategy and objectives.”

Project Lupon to Spearhead WESG 2019 Broadcast via Nimo TV

Nimo TV recently announced its partnership with AliSports as Broadcasting Partners for the World Electronic Sports Games 2019 happening in Chongqing, China.

The Finals with 36 Teams coming from around the Globe will partake in the highest prize pool of $5.5 million across multiple titles. 6 Teams from the Americas, 11 Teams from Europe, 13 Teams from the Asia Pacific, 2 Teams from Africa and 4 Invited Teams will try to prove their worth and claim supremacy.  Alongside the main competition 8, all female teams will also be participating at the final event. The all-female teams are from the Americas and Europe with both 2 Teams and the Asia Pacific with 4 Teams.
