ABS-CBN TV Plus Go REVIEW

The ABS-CBN TV Plus Go is a plug-in device that acts  a digital TV reciever in a more compact scale. With the rise of digital TV use in the country via the The ABS-CBN TV Plus box, the need to have a mobile access will be useful to users who are not at home to watch their favorite TV shows.

Available in the market for only 799 pesos, it is much more affordable than having a digital box. However setting it up for the first time might take some configuring as it requires registration of the mobile device. It may also require to re-regiter if it will be used with a different mobile phone.

This device only works in android devices (Sorry iPhone users) and can also work with TypeC connectors using an adapter. It does not consume mobile data because it uses digital TV signal only.

Haier TVs let homes enjoy digital broadcast without a “digi-box”

Ready for the future of television?

In three to five years, Philippine television is expected to shift from analog broadcast to digital, said the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) last May. The shift promises consistently clear audio-visual quality no matter the distance from the station, on top of having more channels to watch from local networks.

The transition does come with a catch: homes will need to upgrade their analog TV setups. This is currently being satisfied by “digi-boxes,” or external digital tuners, offered by cable providers to subscribers.
