League of Legends: Wild Rift is an upcoming multiplayer online battle arena video game developed and published by Riot Games for Android, iOS and console platforms. Players will be able to experience the thrills of League’s competitive and strategic 5v5 gameplay, rebuilt specifically for mobile and console.
We’re introducing Wild Rift, a new-yet-familiar 5v5 map based on Summoner’s Rift and streamlined for faster games. A responsive dual-stick control scheme, designed exclusively for new platforms, makes sure your skillshots on mobile feel as crisp as they do on PC. The game will include a familiar cast of over 40 champions at launch, with more favorites on the way: Light the way with Lux, spin to win with Garen, or blow it all up with Jinx! Wild Rift is free to download, and all champs can be earned for free—no paying for playtime or power. Ever.
League of Legends: Wild Rift will release for iOS, Android and console starting 2020.
WHY MOBILE AND CONSOLE?
Wild Rift isn’t a port of the PC game, which is part of why it’s taken us a while to get here—we needed to rebuild the whole game from scratch to ensure we created a polished, legitimate League experience that’s worth players’ time. The game has depth and potential for mastery, and should give everyone the opportunity to make those badass 1v1 outplays and 200IQ map rotations players already know.
We're building this game for League players. Many of those players have been telling us that the marquee League PC experience is sometimes tough to fit into their lives — which can change from one week to the next, one month to the next, one year to the next, and we want to give them another way to play League that may be more suited for their changing lifestyles.
