Iconic and impactful: Xiaomi and Haribon Foundation take the step in forest restoration

The Xiaomi Fans Club helps rebuild healthy ecosystems as part of Xiaomi’s 14th anniversary

The Xiaomi Fans Club (XFC) Philippines made their way to Buhay Punlaan in Lumban, Laguna to take part in the Haribon Foundation’s Native Tree Nursery Activities.

Xiaomi continues making an impact in the Philippines as the Xiaomi Fans Community (XFC), took part in Haribon Foundation’s Native Tree Nursery Activities at the Buhay Punlaan in Lumban, Laguna. A group of 30 Xiaomi fans and staff worked together to accomplish this as part of the top tech brand’s 14th-anniversary celebration.

XFC members collectively prepared native tree seedlings to contribute to Haribon’s Forests for Life Movement, which brings together local communities to restore lost forests and mangroves in the Philippines. These seedlings play a crucial role in the continuous forest restoration initiatives in protected areas within Sierra Madre.

The activity also contributes to rebuilding a healthy ecosystem amid the high deforestation rate in the Philippines, which will give Filipinos a sustainable future.

“We want everyone to experience iconic moments in every aspect of their lives with the help of our Xiaomi products. But we also want to create iconic moments that have a positive impact on our society with the help of the Xiaomi Fans Community,” says Tomi Adrias, Xiaomi Philippines’ Head of Marketing.

“We look forward to working more with our community in spearheading significant projects that create a positive impact in our communities, country, and the world.”

This is just one of many initiatives that Xiaomi has lined up for its anniversary campaign. Earlier this month, the brand hosted the Xiaomi Fan Festival Iconic Concert, which was headlined by P-pop group and #TeamRedmiNote member SB19, as a way to thank Xiaomi fans for their unwavering support.

With its diverse line of smartphones and AIoT products, Xiaomi believes in making technology accessible to Filipinos. The brand also aims to make lives better through innovation and advocacies, like its partnership with Haribon Foundation.
