Travel Alliance kicks off cross-border telco rewards programme with Grab and Trip.com

Strategic partnerships to offer exclusive benefits to Alliance customers from 1 January 2025

The Travel Alliance, comprising Singtel, AIS, Globe, HKT, Optus, Taiwan Mobile and Telkomsel, announced strategic partnerships with leading ride-hailing, delivery, and travel brands Grab and Trip.com to enable savings on accommodations, flights, rides, and food deliveries for Alliance customers when they travel. Promotions will be progressively rolled out by the Alliance members from 1 January 2025.

The Travel Alliance was formed in February 2024 with the aim of launching the first-of-its-kind cross-border rewards programme to enable its almost 300 million customers to enjoy a slew of incentives on transport, dining, merchandise, and lifestyle services when they travel to the markets where the operators are based. Trip.com and Grab are the first to join the ecosystem of partners to provide perks that can be seamlessly accessed by Alliance customers. See Annex for more details on the partnership offers.

Samsung Experience Stores are now in GrabMart!

Customers can now purchase their favorite Samsung Galaxy smartphones, tablets, and wearables from Samsung Experience Stores (SES) through GrabMart. The company has a total 14 SES branches accessible through the app and is looking to add more to increase coverage.

“At Samsung, we continue to introduce innovative ways to bring our products closer and more accessible. Our customers can now purchase their favorite Samsung products conveniently through the Grab app from the comfort of their own homes,” said Jerry Manus, IT and Mobile Communications Division Head of Samsung Philippines.

It Is Now Just "Grab"

The first month of 2016 is almost over, and vehicle reservation app GrabTaxi made a new announcement from their CEO Antony Tan that the name of the brand will be "Grab" dropping the last word as it also now service different vehicle options like private cars, motorcycle, choppers and a courier service.
