This year's Globe 917 #ExtraGDayEveryday celebrations focus on the extraordinary

Globe hopes to focus on what's extraordinary in daily life with this year’s 917 #ExtraGDayEveryday, giving Filipinos access to rewarding experiences and things they missed during the prolonged lockdown due to the pandemic.

Since 2016, Globe has set a tradition of gìving customers joy during 0917 celebrations every September 17.  The 0917 handle is a play on the iconic “0917” Globe mobile number prefix. This year's celebration is a month-long affair and festivities will peak on September 17, or 917 GDay, with a slew of exciting activities and treats. It is one of the many ways that Globe recognizes the loyalty of its customers all through these years.

917 GDay promises to treat Globe customers, partners and employees to energizing events and rewarding programs that will bring communities together and demonstrate care, compassion, and kindness at a time when it is needed the most.

“This is a special day for our customers.  We want to engage our customers meaningfully through special activities, prizes, and surprises so that they feel valued by Globe and get to enjoy our services.  We want to make this 917 an extraordinarily good day for them,” said Globe Group President and CEO Ernest Cu.

During this period, Globe will treat its tenured customers with special gifts. Long-term postpaid customers will receive bonus rewards points, raffle entries, and a Globe donation to the Hapag Movement on their behalf. Prepaid customers will also be eligible to earn double points on specially-selected September days.

As part of the GDay celebrations, Globe is hosting a range of activities designed for different customer passion points throughout September. For example, gamers can join or watch the G Battle Zone gaming tournaments nationwide featuring Mobile Legends and Valorant. Games will be streamed online at Globe’s Virtual Hangouts on September 24, and can also be watched live at the SM MOA Atrium.

Music lovers may flock to the highly-anticipated G Music Fest, which will be held on the 17th of September. The festival’s line-up of international and local artists can be experienced live at the Circuit Event Grounds, Makati and online at Globe’s Virtual Hangouts.

Festival-goers can either convert their rewards points to tickets, or use their rewards to redeem Gudi, the 917 Limited Edition Non-Fungible Token (NFT), which will be both a concert pass and access to the on-ground festival.

Making a comeback is G Chance the Raffle, with even bigger prizes and packages. To join, customers should download the GlobeOne App and redeem raffle entries for as low as 1 Rewards point. All raffle entries redeemed will be pooled together for a chance to win prizes as big as P200,000 and P1 million in cash.

To make things even more fun, 917 GDay has the “G Super Sale” in partnership with Lazada, Kumu, and many more where customers may redeem vouchers and discount codes on the GlobeOne App from September 9 to 30.

To participate in GDay activities, customers must use their Globe Rewards points. Globe Rewards is the company’s brand loyalty program that allows customers to earn points that can be used to avail of special Globe promos or partner vouchers.

All rewards points redeemed for GDay offers will be matched in cash by Globe for donation to the Hapag Movement, a Globe-led initiative in partnership with other renowned institutions that aims to address involuntary hunger.

At the heart of 917 is Globe's continuing intent to spread good to others, especially those most in need. Not only are loyal customers getting points and raffle entries, Globe is donating on their behalf to the Hapag Movement to support our kababayans who do not have enough, not even basic food to eat every day.
