Teleperformance (TP) in the Philippines successfully concluded its yearly support to the Brigada Eskwela 2024, an annual initiative of the Department of Education (DepEd) that mobilizes various sectors of society to help with and volunteer for the preparation of public school facilities for the new school year.

Through its corporate social responsibility arm, Citizen of the World (COTW), Teleperformance in the Philippines has consistently supported the Brigada Eskwela, demonstrating its continued commitment to enhancing school facilities in a bid to create an environment conducive for learning.

Aptly dubbed, TP Dream Builder, the event brought together TP volunteers who have shown remarkable dedication by rolling up their sleeves to volunteer and refurbish school facilities nationwide. These efforts included cleaning up school grounds, re-painting classroom walls, and repairing classroom furniture.

TP has recorded a 26% increase in volunteer engagement this year with 242 volunteers from its various locations across the Philippines demonstrating selfless dedication through the spirit of volunteerism.

“As the last leg of activities concluded this weekend, we are proud to see a continued increase in volunteer hours each year. We’ve recorded a total of 1,500 volunteer-hours for this year’s Brigada Eskwela for on location activities alone. That does not include all the time spent on the preparations and coordination for the actual school activities,” TP’s Chief People Officer and Citizen of the World (COTW) Chairperson Jeffrey Johnson, shared.

“Seeing how our employees have generously shared the gift of time and how truly passionate they are to support our philanthropic efforts makes me really proud,” Jeffrey added.

Through TP’s corporate social responsibility arm, Citizen of the World (COTW), volunteers from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao extended support to select schools for Brigada Eskwela 2024, demonstrating commitment to enhance school facilities for conducive learning.

Further amplifying the Brigada Eskwela 2024 theme of Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan, Teleperformance recorded a total of nine activities, seeing a strong participation from its sites from the Visayas and Mindanao region such as Cagayan de Oro, Davao, General Santos, Bacolod, and Cebu. TP employees from its sites in Luzon namely, Baguio, Pampanga, Cavite and Metro Manila participated as well.

This year, TP’s select adopted schools include Camaman-an Elementary School in Cagayan de Oro, Bunawan Aplaya Elementary School in Davao, Jose Divinagracia Sr. Elementary School in General Santos City, Sum-Ag Elementary School in Bacolod, Iba Elementary School in Cebu, Gibraltar Elementary School in Baguio, Sto. Domingo Integrated School in Pampanga, Molino Elementary School in Cavite, and Bambang Elementary School in Pasig.

While super typhoon Carina has affected various areas in Metro Manila, the Department of Education’s Brigada Eskwela program continues to thrive with the dedication of staunch supporters like Teleperformance.
