In the latest Wonderful World of Globe, now on its tenth event which lead to the hashtag #WWGX, held at Bonifacio High Street Cinemas, it was a apt place for the latest reveal of Globe for their future plans and their partners.
Globe has been a consistent partner of Disney which has always something new to reveal every event. We have seen them though movies, content, mobile, and lately on applications which will reach out to subscribers.
They also revealed new partners in content which represents other markets subscribers are also interested with. One of them is Turner, which is known for Cartoon Network, which will share a lot of their famous cartoons and series. Another brand is Smule, the biggest sing-a-long app in the world also gaining popularity in the Philippines.
Gaming media Astro from Malaysia will provide e-sports content which will cater to the gaming population which is also big here. Sports Illustrated will also come into play with their features of sporting events as well as their popular bikini model covers.And for the biggest partner reveal was with Netflix, the biggest collection of movies and shows available on digital format for many devices, showed a future with Globe packages which will give access to more choices for movies, TV, etc.
Globe Studios
And they don't stop with only just their new partners, they also made their own for cinema. Globe Studios was formed with the alliance of the best directors in the country like Erik Matti. Paul Soriano, Quark Henares, Dan Villegas, Sigrid Bernardo, Joyce Bernal, and Lav Diaz. Globe Studios is backed by local and Asian media houses such as Viva Films, Reality Entertainment, Quantum Films, Spring Films and Astro of Malaysia. We would be expecting future films to be under Globe Studios which brings an interesting turn with the entry of the new player plus the minds and expertise of the directors and partner film companies.
Globe Live
Since it was all about content, Globe proudly also reveals another medium of art via theater with Globe Live. Focused on the performing arts, Globe Live will be in partnership with artists from different mediums and bring it closer to the public.One of the first offerings of Globe Live is the staging of "American Idiot" with 9 Works Theatrical. Set at the Globe Iconic Store at the Bonifacio High Street Auditorium, the main stage is set in between large LED panels which is part of the biggest and soon to be competed flagship store. American Idiot is composed of a star-studded talent roster headlined by Basti Artadi of Wolfgang, Miggy Chavez of Chicosci, former Rivermaya vocalists Jason Fernandez and Norby David, and veteran thespian Nel Gomez. The show is set to run from June 24 until July 10, 2016.
Along with the other existing content like HOOQ, NBA, and Spotify, Globe continues to find more partners and looking forward for more services, infrastructures, and devices that will definitely excites us in many ways.
