YouTube FanFest returned on-ground to celebrate its 10th anniversary and this year’s all-star edition featured electrifying and entertaining performances from APAC’s biggest content creators, taking the fans through the region’s creativity and diversity of talents.

The Life and Work of Cherie Gil: Iconic movies you can watch on YouTube

In honor of legendary actress Cherie Gil, Regal Entertainment, Inc. released “The Life and Work of Cherie Gil”, a YouTube playlist presenting some of the late icon’s award-winning movies that the public can watch for free.

The films featured in the YouTube playlist include:

Cherie Gil played the role of Miriam in “Sugatang Puso” which landed her the Best Supporting Actress award in the 2000 Metro Manila Film Festival. She starred in and produced “Sonata” (2013), paving the way to work again with the critically acclaimed Peque Gallaga who also directed “Oro Plata Mata” (1982) that further solidified Cherie as a household name in the entertainment industry.

Samsung partners with YouTube to let Galaxy smartphone users experience the many perks of the streaming platform simply by being part of #TeamGalaxy. Loyal Galaxy customers can now watch videos without interruptions with YouTube Premium, as well as get exclusive access to their music streaming app – YouTube Music.

YouTube Premium allows patrons to enjoy background play so they can continue to listen to music or watch videos even when they exit the YouTube or YouTube Music apps. They can also download videos and watch them offline, and view clips ad-free.



Owners of the Galaxy A Series (A80, A70, A50s, A30s, A20s and A10s) can avail two months of access to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music. Brands, marketing and advertising agencies, and industry leaders gathered for the second YouTube Ads Awards which seeks to recognize outstanding campaigns that demonstrate the power of innovative and creative storytelling on YouTube. 

Max’s Philippines’ “Every Kind of Family, Everyday to the Max” took home the greatest distinction of the night as it was named as “Ad of the Year”. The video also won top category or Crystal award for Food and Beverage, as well as two Silver awards for Retail and Restaurants, and Corporate Image and Public Sector.
